I’ve been to several Michelin-starred restaurants and ate expensive foods with extraordinary presentations. Don’t get me wrong, those foods are fantastic. However, for me, nothing can ever beat the taste of my home town food – the Sundanese cuisine. Of course, I’m super subjective here.
My mom is Sundanese, so we’ve been eating this food since forever. The main ingredient of the Sundanese food is the raw vegetable which we called “lalap” and the chilli sauce which we called “sambal”. God, if you have these two components at its best, the rest of the main courses, like meat, fish or chicken would taste amazing, well at least for me. :p
